The Pine Cone Restaurant - Johnson Creek open 24 hours

Located in Johnson Creek, the Pine Cone is OPEN 24 hours, 7 days a week – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner served anytime! Bakery items can be purchased from the restaurant and the travel center. 

The Brickhaus - Jefferson opens at 7am

The Brickhaus, located at 126 E Milwaukee Street in Jefferson.  Fast casual restaurant with cozy interior seating and spacious outside patio dining! Offering fair trade organic coffee, great paninis, fresh salads and soups!6 miles/10 minutes from Rob's.  

Rose Garden/Leonardo's Italian Bistro - Watertown opens 6am

The Rose Garden, located at  500 Bernard St in Watertown,  opens daily at 6am for breakfast.  Approximately 9 miles (13 minutes) from Rob's.

Main Street Cafe - Watertown opens 6am

Located at  116 E Main St in Watertown, the Main Street Cafe opens at 6am daily. About 10 miles/15 minutes from Rob's.   


Zwieg's Grill - Watertown opens 5:30am

Zwieg's Grill is a longtime local favorite located at 904 E Main Street in Watertown.  A small, unique old time grill with great home cooked food.  Opens 5:30am daily.  

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 50's Diner Atmosphere Family owned since 1946! Cash, personal check, ATM on site, does not accept credit cards  10 miles/16 minutes from Rob's.

Soup's On - Fort Atkinson opens at 5am

A local favorite. Soup's On is located at 1125 Whitewater Ave Ste D Fort Atkinson, WI 53538  An unpretentious, old time diner with great food and service.

Tavern on Rock - Fort Atkinson opens at 11am

No breakfast, but a favorite lunch stop for some of our friends at Rob's, so you know it's got to be good!  Tavern on Rock is located at 29 Sherman Ave W in Fort Atkinson. Open 11am-11pm.

The city of Hartford has several unique shops on the main drag all within walking distance between the Scoop de Ville and the Mineshaft Restaurant. 


The Wisconsin Automotive Museum is about 3 blocks NW of the main drag and has ample parking of it's own.

The Oconomowoc area is home to several lakes and the downtown boardwalk runs along Fowler Lake.  Just 18 miles, 30 minutes from Rob's.  We've laid out a Google Maps walking tour of the downtown highlighting some of our favorite stops.  We're sure you'll discover a couple favorites of your own!   Don't miss Oz Plaza for photos with life size Wizard of Oz characters.  This town takes it's historical connection to The Wizard of Oz quite seriously!

Out side of town, 2 miles east of Fowler Beach, you'll find the Kiltie Drive-In - A fun throwback drive-in. Good food and dairy treats. Cash only.

 Lucky Chucky’s Beach Bar & Grill – Great Food, outdoor seating.  Located on Hwy B/Valley Rd just half a mile SE of the intersection with Silver Lake Rd from your ride in.

Honey Acres – Museum and Unique Honey/Candies Shop 

Holy Hill -Basilica and Shrine Hiking trails, self-guided tours 

Monches Ice Age Trail – Hike a section of the Ice Age Trail, just beneath the Holy Hill area. 

Horicon Marsh Auto Tour – Download this handy Tour de Marsh map.  Be sure to drive the Northern Auto Tour circle off Hwy 49 to access the marsh boardwalk for a great photo-op!

GOOGLE MAPS version of the Horicon Loop - This route loops the Marsh area in reverse (easy right turns) and ends at Mullen's Dairy Bar in Watertown.  From there, it's a quick 15 minute ride back to Rob's via Church Street/Hwy 26.  (Approx 100 miles/2.5 hours seat time.)

Gus's Drive In - Saturday is Cruise Day. If you love collectible cars, this is the place to be on Saturday’s in the summer!

Great burgers, chicken and malts!

LD's BBQ - LD’s BBQ serves meats that are slow smoked over 100% Seasoned Oak wood. No corners are cut to get this food to tender and juicy.  A local favorite.

Elegant Farmer – Great place to shop, have a lite lunch or some fresh baked pie and ice cream and all things delicious!


Old World Wisconsin – A living museum nestled in the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest in Eagle WI.  It would take nearly a full day’s visit to do it justice.  

Highway 67 is under construction between Dousman and Eagle, so we've created this 30 mile, 45 minute scenic detour route.  Heck, you may want to take this route even if you don't visit the museum!  Stay on 67 1.25 miles past Old World to head to Main Street, Eagle to get a taste of the small town, local flavors at Eagle Public Market, Inside Designs, Red Roof Station, Rustix Grill, or the Knucklehead Pub.


Here's a scenic 22 mile, 40 minute route from Old World WI to the East Troy destinations.

39 miles, 50 minutes back to Rob's from the Elegant Farmer (a must stop for pie and ice cream and all things delicious!)

Berres Brothers Cafe less than 15 minutes from Rob's.  Serving made to order coffee beverages and fresh bakery items 7am-2pm.  Visit the retail shop to take home a couple of their famous coffee flavors.  

Kraemer Cheese - Wisconsin cheese, fudge and sausage all right here in Watertown.

Mullen's Dairy Bar - Visit this great old fashioned ice cream parlor steeped in local history.

Chippy's Popcorn Creations in Beaver Dam. 40 minutes/35 miles from Rob's.

Sassy Cow Creamery - 45min/38 miles from Rob's.  A long time SOAR favorite stop for a bite of lunch and a special ice cream treats!
